SAFETY OF PLAYING AREAS FOR CHILDREN

That this House recognises the importance of children playing outdoors; understands the reluctance of some parents to allow their children to play outside due to safety concerns; urges local councils to ensure that safe green places to play are widely advertised; and calls on the Department of Health and Social Care and Department of Education to liaise with parents to underline the importance to growth, health and wellbeing of daily outdoor play for children.
