HOSPITAL CAR PARKING AND DIALYSIS PATIENTS

Tabled by Robert Halfon (Conservative) 1 signatures

The motion

That this House acknowledges research by Kidney Care UK which found that dialysis patients go to hospitals up to three times a week for life-maintaining treatment; notes that each appointment lasts a minimum of four hours; understands that four hours of parking at a NHS hospital in England costs on average £3.28; further understands how these charges stack up and become an additional barrier for those who need life-maintaining treatment; and urges the Government to scrap hospital car parking charges for patients frequently using vital hospital services.
