The motion
That this House notes the various recent changes to healthcare services in Harlow and the surrounding area; further notes the impact these changes have had on the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow; is aware that the Princess Alexandra Hospital is now fundamental to the health and wellbeing of Harlow's population and the wider area, including parts of Hertfordshire and Epping Forest; notes that the population of Harlow itself is growing; is further aware that these additional pressures have led to occupancy levels at the Princess Alexandra running higher than 96 per cent; and therefore urges the Government to make capital funding available for a new health campus in Harlow to provide sufficient care to the population of Harlow, the villages and the surrounding areas.
