HOSPITAL CAR PARKING CHARGES - CLIC SARGENT

That this House notes the research conducted by CLIC Sargent; is aware of the finding that families of cancer patients in NHS hospitals can pay up to £10 per day in car parking fees; further notes that cancer treatment can cost young people and their families £600 per month in additional expenses; understands that such financial constraints imposed on the public is unacceptable; and therefore calls on the Government to abolish car parking charges for cancer patients and their families.
