GLASGOW UNIVERSITIES AMONGST TOP 50 IN UK

That this House notes the recent publication of the Complete University Guide 2019 League Tables; understands that three Glasgow universities have appeared in the top 50 rankings of that guide; further understands that the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde were ranked 24th and 40th respectively, whilst the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland was ranked 2nd out of all specialist arts, drama and music institutions; believes that the rankings demonstrate the strength of Scottish higher education and highlights Glasgow's significant contribution to the success of the higher education sector in Scotland; congratulates all three universities on their top ranking positions; and wishes them every success for the future.
