The motion
That this House notes the question of the right hon. Member for Harlow to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care on 8 May 2018, which asked about the desperate need for a new hospital in Harlow; further notes the Minister for Health's response in which he stated that he recognises that the Princess Alexandra Hospital estate is in a poor condition; is aware that the hospital's infrastructure is severely deteriorating and is appalled to learn that effluent and water have been known to flow into operating theatres; understands that this makes it impossible for the hardworking staff to provide the best care to the growing number of residents of Harlow and the surrounding area; and urges the Government to make an announcement on the availability of capital funding for the development of a new hospital in Harlow.
