PRISON SERVICE PARLIAMENTARY SCHEME

That this House welcomes recent Ministerial support for a Prison Service Parliamentary Scheme; notes that similar schemes for the Police Service, Fire Service and Armed Forces are popular with hon. Members; believes that such a scheme for the Prison Service would provide hon. Members with invaluable first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by prison officers; and calls on the Government to launch such a scheme in conjunction with the Prison Officers Association as a matter of priority.
