NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION INTO THE REMOVAL OF THE CORE STRATEGY

That this House notes the serious allegations made by Lugano group in relation to bullying, intimidation and corruption at Northumberland County Council connected to the removal of the county's emerging core strategy; believes if such malpractice has occurred in this area, it is likely to be rife throughout the organisation; and supports calls for a full independent investigation to take place as a matter of urgency.
