NEW HARLOW HOSPITAL - CAPITAL FUNDING BID

That this House is aware of the desperate need for a new hospital in Harlow; notes the capital funding bid submitted by the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust leadership; further notes that this was submitted at the request of the Health Secretary; understands that the new hospital health campus project would require more than £100 million; notes the Health Minister's comments of 5 June which explained announcements would be made in the Autumn; further notes that success in securing the capital funding would bring healthcare in Harlow into the 21st Century; understands that this would revolutionise healthcare for those living in Hertfordshire and the rest of Essex, as well as Harlow and the surrounding villages; and therefore urges the Government to make capital funding available for a new hospital health campus in Harlow.
