DEFENCE AND LABOUR'S SHADOW CABINET

Tabled by Sir Marcus Fox (Conservative) 104 signatures

The motion

That this House notes with concern that once again there is no Defence Spokesman in the newly-elected Shadow Cabinet; condemns the Labour Party's apparent lack of interest in this vital subject; and calls on the Leader of the Labour Party to tell the House whether, in the event of his becoming Prime Minister, he would appoint a Defence Secretary with no experience of the subject or whether the Defence Secretary would cease to be full a member of the Cabinet.
