The motion

That this House has deep sympathy with the family and friends of Anna Campbell who was killed by Turkish forces in Afrin while supporting the Kurdish YPJ in March 2018; regrets that the Turkish Government has chosen to go against the Geneva Convention and not repatriate Anna's body; condemns the Turkish Government for not allowing the International Committee of the Red Cross into Afrin to provide an independent account of the situation in the region in which Turkish forces are alleged to have been carrying out repeated and sustained war crimes; and calls on the Government to press Turkey to allow the Red Cross into Afrin to conduct an assessment and to allow for the body of Anna Campbell to be returned to her family.
