The motion

That his House notes that Human Rights Day on 10 December 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document that proclaimed the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to regardless of race, religion, sex or political belief; supports the principle of equal dignity and worth of every person and recognises that these principles set out in the declaration are as relevant today as they were in 1948; further notes that the Declaration of Human Rights document is the most translated document in the world, available in more than 500 languages; and urges the Government to uphold the rights set out in declaration as testament to the enduring importance of the values of equality, justice and human dignity.
