FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF BOWHILL SWIMMING POOL

That this House congratulates everyone at Bowhill swimming pool on the occasion of the pool’s 50th birthday; thanks Fife Sports and Leisure Trust and all the dedicated staff at the pool for ensuring that the facilities have remained an integral part of the community over the years, particularly following the devastating fire in 2015; celebrates the customers, past and present, of Bowhill swimming pool and the role that they have played in ensuring that the swimming pool has remained a focal point for the community during the past 50 years, providing thousands of local people with access to excellent fitness facilities; recognises the Visit Scotland rating of 4 stars that was achieved in 2016, which reflected the excellent customer care provided by staff; looks forward to the birthday celebrations; and wishes Bowhill swimming pool and all its customers and staff all the best for many more years to come.
