The motion
That this House remembers with great sadness and righteous indignation the murder of the Royal Highland Fusiliers John and Joseph McCaig and Donald McCaughey on 10 March 1971; notes these vile murders and others like this carried out by the IRA have seen no justice and no one held accountable; asserts that these three lives are no less worthy of justice than any other death in the Troubles; extends again our sincere sympathies to the families of these brave men who were murdered because they wore a British uniform in Northern Ireland; and calls for an appropriate investigation to give some semblance of peace for the families.
