SCOTTISH CHURCHES PARLIAMENTARY OFFICE MEET YOUR MP PROJECT

That this House congratulates the Scottish Churches Parliamentary Office (SCPO) on the launch of the Meet Your MP project; supports the initiative to encourage faith groups and Churches of all denominations across Scotland to contact their local Member of Parliament and to engage with them on issues of importance to them; commends the project for continuing to pursue meaningful relationships and break down barriers between local politicians and the faith community; applauds those who have taken part and who will do so in future months; understands that this is the beginning of a process which will lead to stronger local communities in the future; and welcomes the opportunity to discuss the project at an event in Westminster held by the Church of Scotland.
