LONDON NAIL BOMBINGS ANNIVERSARY

Tabled by Wes Streeting (Labour) 30 signatures

The motion

That this House notes that 30th April 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the nail bomb attack at the Admiral Duncan public house in Soho, central London, which killed three people and injured dozens more; further notes that this was the third attack by a self-confessed racist and homophobe following similar nail bombs planted in Brixton and Brick Lane; observes that these locations were deliberately chosen because they are recognised as centres of London's rich and diverse cultural heritage; sends condolences and solidarity to those who lost loved ones and whose lives continue to be affected by these acts of terrorism; and calls on the Government to redouble efforts to tackle hate crime and the far right.
