ACCESS TO FREE-TO-USE CASH MACHINES
Tabled by Lord Field of Birkenhead (Crossbench)

The motion
That this House notes the recent risk of a reversal in the movement towards increasing the number of free-to-use cash machines; further notes that free-to-use cash machines are the biggest single aspect of free banking that most affects the poor; believes that the attack on this service should immediately cease; and calls on the Minister responsible to call in, as a matter of urgency, all relevant parties so that the commitment to increasing the number of free-to-use cash machines, particularly in the most deprived communities, can be reaffirmed.
