CO-OWNERSHIP 1,000th HOME BUYER

That this House congratulates Co-Ownership, Northern Ireland's regional body for shared ownership, on achieving its 1,000th home buyer this year; understands that Co-Ownership is a not-for-profit organisation that helps get onto the property ladder people who cannot do so by themselves; notes that since 1978 it has helped over 28,000 people buy their home through co-own and rent-to-own; further notes that over 8,500 homes across Northern Ireland are currently Co-Ownership homes; welcomes Co-Ownership's ongoing commitment to the delivery of innovative affordable housing solutions and to the housing sector as a whole in Northern Ireland; and pays credit to its staff, Board of Management and partners for over 40 years of dedication to helping people buy their homes.
