50 YEARS OF BROUGHTY CASTLE MUSEUM

That this House commemorates 50 years since Broughty Castle in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, was incorporated into a museum by Dundee Council; recognises the rich history of the 15th century coastal fortress which saw action in The Rough Wooing in the 16th century and the War of the Three Kingdoms in the 17th century; and praises Dundee City Council, Leisure and Culture Dundee and staff and volunteers at Broughty Castle Museum for maintaining and preserving the beauty of the castle and its surroundings as well as the rich history embedded in its walls.
