RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS (RA) AWARENESS WEEK 2019

That this House congratulates the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) on holding its seventh national Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness (RA) Week from 17 to 23 June 2019; notes that the auto-immune disease RA affects more than 400,000 people across the UK; praises the work done by the NRAS to raise awareness of this condition and to provide advice, help and support to those affected; supports the theme for Rheumatoid Awareness Week 2019 of Anyone Any Age, which challenges the stereotype that only old people get RA; and calls on the UK Government to do more to improve the access to effective medicines and mental health support for those suffering from RA.
