LGBT CO-OPERATIVE

That this House welcomes the formation of the LGBT Co-operative; supports its initiative Glasgow Mardi Gras and its Pride March on 20 July alongside a two-day festival focusing on education around the themes of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and the Undetectable Equals Untransmittable campaign; celebrates the LGBT Co-operative’s commitment to supporting the delivery of a successful, open, welcoming and free celebration of LGBT+ Pride in Glasgow; applauds the progress that has been made in both Scotland and Glasgow to combat discrimination and stigma around LGBT+ rights; recognises that more still needs to be done to overcome homophobia in all its forms; and asserts the rights of all people in Scotland and elsewhere to be treated equally regardless of sexuality or gender.
