The motion
That this House celebrates the 71st anniversary of the Rotary Club of Strathaven, beginning first in 1947 under the leadership of President Robert Downey and led currently by President Eric Rice, which has benefitted the community by working closely with Strathaven Academy to support students and the local community, including planting saplings, clearing litter, and raising money for charities and other good causes; congratulates the club on its work to unite people of different backgrounds and on Rotary projects the world over; and wishes the Rotary Club of Strathaven well for all its future endeavours.
