JOHN MUIR AWARD FOR TOWNHEAD PRIMARY SCHOOL

That this House congratulates Townhead Primary School in Coatbridge on securing a John Muir Award; notes that the John Muir Award scheme seeks to encourage people of all ages to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places; welcomes the commitment of Townhead Primary School pupils to tracking, watching, litter-picking, planting and immersing themselves in nature; recognises that the pupils took part in after-school clubs, worked in the local environment during their school day and participated in community challenges; and urges other schools and community groups to participate in the John Muir Award scheme across the UK.
