SARAH EVERETT - PATIENT'S CHOICE AWARD WINNER OF RCNI AWARDS 2019

That this House congratulates Sarah Everett, a practice sister at Govan Health Centre in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, for winning the Patient’s Choice Award at the 32nd Annual RCNI Nurse Awards on 3 July 2019 at a glittering ceremony at the Westminster Park Plaza in London; recognises the award is a well-deserved tribute from her patients for tireless work to secure funding to establish, and grow, a Men’s Shed in Govan as a health activity hub for isolated men; further recognises the award is testament to the relationships Sarah built up with men within Govan as a practice sister allowing her to create a place where men can take part in activities such as gardening, darts, and cooking, as well as an informal environment where they can receive health and wellbeing advice; and wishes her and the Govan Men’s Shed continued success in 2019 and thereafter.
