That this House celebrates the charity work of Cardonald resident, Jan O’Neill, who for 38 years has worked tirelessly for charities in Glasgow and the west of Scotland; notes that over that time she has made curtains, peg bag holders, tartan dolls and most recently cushion covers; further notes that she has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years for local church fairs, pensioners groups, compassionate friends, the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and Nazareth House; observes that she recently raised £99,000 for the Accord Hospice in Paisley by making different types of cushion covers; applauds her work volunteering in a shop in the Paisley Centre for two days a week; and further observes that locally she is considered to be one of the kindest and most compassionate people you would ever meet.
