LIVINGSTON ATHLETIC CLUB, SCOTTISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SUCCESS

That this House congratulates Livingston Athletic Club for collectively securing four gold and three silver medals at the Scottish National Championships in Grangemouth; commends the individual talent of each of the medal-winning athletes; Sarah Calvert who took gold in the seniors 800m race; Isla Cavert who won gold after running a championship best time in the under-17 800m event; Matthew Power who set a championship and personal best to win gold in the 100m para race, who also secured silver in the 200m para race; Andrew McGill who won gold in the under-17 800m and completed a personal best to take silver in the 1500m race; Alix Fairley who won silver in the under-17 women’s hammer throw, achieving a new personal best club record throw; further commends the support of Livingston Athletic Club in this success; and wishes the athletes and the club further success for the future.
