ENDING THE IVF POSTCODE LOTTERY

Tabled by Layla Moran (Liberal Democrat) 19 signatures

The motion

That this House calls for an end to the postcode lottery for IVF treatment on the NHS; believes that the Government must hold local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) to account and legislate to ensure that access to IVF provision on the NHS is equal across England; recognises that all CCGs should be required to offer the same number of rounds of IVF on the NHS; welcomes the fact that many CCGs follow the NICE guidelines that women under 40 should be offered 3 cycles of IVF treatment on the NHS; and calls on the Government to ensure adequate funding and support is in place to ensure that all CCGs in England follow those guidelines.
