HOUSE OF HOPE EAST KILBRIDE

That this House congratulates House of Hope Recycling Village, East Kilbride for its dedication to the community since its establishment five years ago, commends Alphonse Francis and his family for their tireless work in assisting in 1,500 tonnes being diverted from landfill, offering social support to members of the community who are struggling in their personal lives, creating an environment for vulnerable members of the community to feel welcome and safe to express themselves, offering voluntary work and on the job training opportunities for over 500 local individuals and providing quality furniture and white goods and other essentials to low income families across East Kilbride; further notes that they require new premises; and wishes them success in obtaining these premises and in continuing their excellent service and community work for all.
