Post-Brexit workers' rights

Tabled by Hugh Gaffney (Labour) 17 signatures

The motion

That this House expresses concern that the Prime Minister plans to move the UK away from EU standards on workers’ rights and health and safety in the workplace; believes that this would pose a risk to EU workers’ rights currently enjoyed by UK workers such as paid holiday rights; recognises that the Prime Minister’s proposals do not command support from the TUC and the wider trades union movement; and urges the Government to keep UK workers’ rights and health and safety standards aligned with those contained in EU law after the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
