George Gray

That this House recognises the life, work and charitable giving of George Gray; sends condolences to his family; recognises his achievement of donating 140 pints of blood over the course of 51 years, earning him a British Empire Medal, Guinness World Record and a number of honours from the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service; celebrates the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service's estimation that he saved more than 500 patients over his lifetime; admires how he continued to give blood whilst serving the country during his National Service; recognises the esteem in which he was held by the community of Stonehouse, having been a member of the local Gala Committee and an Elder of St Ninians Parish Church; notes his remarkable long-lasting desire to help others and the importance of his giving to society; and celebrates his lifetime of achievements.
