Cupar Justice and Peace Group

That this House recognises the work of Cupar Justice & Peace Group in praying and campaigning for justice and peace across the globe; commends the efforts of the Group since its establishment by Sister Ellen Munn in 1997 to bring together people of all faiths and none, to discuss important issues including poverty at home and abroad, people trafficking, Israel and Palestine, Trident and environmental issues including recent work campaigning for the UK Government to take leadership on climate change and commit to achieving a 75 per cent reduction in carbon emissions by 2030; notes its activities during the year including the One World Lunch; further notes the Group’s close links with Cupar Fair Trade Group; and wishes members well in their future work.
