Hospital parking charges

That this House notes the unreasonably high charges faced by NHS staff, patients, visitors and bereaved people in hospital car parks across the United Kingdom; recognises that this is an unfair levy on vulnerable people who may be in severe distress; acknowledges that previous efforts to prevent further increases or to scrap charges have been rejected by successive Governments; and calls on the Government to legislate for hospital parking to be free for NHS staff, patients and their visitors.
