Northern Ireland Health Service

That this House recognises the ongoing crisis in the Northern Ireland Health Service, whereby Health and Social Service workers, currently engaged in industrial action which is due to continue until March over pay inequality with their counterparts in Great Britain, and the significantly worsening waiting times for patients compared with Great Britain; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to establish how the approximate £22 million shortfall for the pay dispute can be put in place and to encourage all Northern Ireland political parties to commit to re entering the Stormont Assembly as soon as possible with additional resources to deal with the wider Health issues.
