Sparta Trampoline Club: Gymnastics Club of the Year 2019

That this House congratulates Sparta Trampoline Club SCIO based in Glasgow on winning the British Gymnastics National Club Award at a glittering awards ceremony in Telford on Saturday 25 January 2020; notes this award is well-deserved recognition of the club’s outstanding commitment throughout 2019 to bring the sport of trampolining, through their new 6,000sq ft centre, to as many as possible within the community, with a particular focus on improving the fitness and well-being of their members; further congratulates the 25 coaches and 278 members on helping to deliver this success; praises the 21 gymnasts from the Sparta Club who qualified for the Scottish National Championships, seven of whom received medals at the event; pays tribute to Sparta Trampoline Club SCIO for successfully winning the Sports Council for Glasgow’s Club of the Year in 2019; and wishes the club continued success in 2020 with their extensive plans to grow the club and enhance the range of services and facilities they have available.
