East Kilbride Rep Theatre Club

That this House congratulates the East Kilbride Rep Theatre Club on reaching its 65th anniversary; commends the theatre club for presenting 450 productions over the years, which have covered a wide variety of different genres; notes that the club has had over 1,000 members and over 1,000 local children have taken part in the annual pantomime; congratulates the members and pantomime children who have go on to have a career in theatre, such as John Hannah, Julie Wilson Nimmo and Michael Emans; acknowledges Alf Newton, Aileen Waite and Hazel Brown, who have been members of the club since the 1960s; further commends the theatre club for giving the opportunity to children and other members to learn new skills and develop their talents; praises the role of organisations such as East Kilbride Rep Theatre Club in fostering a community spirit; and wishes all past, present and future members of the East Kilbride Rep Theatre Club every success in the future.
