Community co-operation in Midlothian

That this House commends the invaluable work of local volunteering organisations, community groups, residents’ forums, community councils, resilience groups and other suchlike organisations in facilitating and supporting volunteering and community efforts in Midlothian; thanks and commends those offering food delivery services to those who need them, those who run online forums communicating Government information, those volunteering in the health service to support key workers, companies working to manufacture resources in high demand such as PPE and hand sanitiser, restaurants and cafes that offer discounted or free food and drink to key workers, those volunteering to reduce the negative effects of social isolation on mental health, those who have set up helplines for vulnerable groups, and many more; and generally commends the strength of community feeling and cooperation in Midlothian.
