Barr village shop, Ayr Carrick & Cumnock

That this House recognises the important role played by many small rural village shops in supporting constituents during the covid-19 pandemic; commends the response of owners, staff and volunteers providing extra services for members of the community that are shielding and self-isolating; recognises the exceptional work and commitment of Judy Brzezinka, of the Barr village shop for her part in organising home deliveries to elderly and vulnerable people within the village, recruiting volunteers to make deliveries of food, prescriptions and newspapers; and commends the combined efforts of village communities throughout Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock constituency for their humanity, compassion and caring for others during these unprecedented times.
