That this House applauds the tireless and dedicated work of Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire (VAER), acting as the umbrella body for the community response in East Renfrewshire to the covid-19 outbreak; notes the success of the community hub as a means of ensuring that those who are in need of support are able to access the assistance they require; appreciates the very effective drive for volunteers, answered by hundreds of kind East Renfrewshire residents; further notes the difference that that work has made to people all over East Renfrewshire's local community; thanks the VAER team for their unstinting dedication; further appreciates the teamwork involving groups, and individuals which has made it possible to deliver a responsive and resilient service; and wishes that enthusiastic volunteer team every success as they work to make a difference to others at this very difficult time.
