East Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau

That this House applauds the support and efforts of East Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau; commends the staff team and volunteers who provide vital support to communities across East Renfrewshire; recognises that flexible and innovative ways of working have enabled this vital support service to continue during the covid-19 pandemic; understands that the work of the Bureau team is currently being delivered remotely; notes the wide range of services being delivered including assistance with employment, housing, debt, benefits, and consumer issues, many of which are pressing and the cause of great concern to local residents; appreciates the clear and constructive advice and support provided; further appreciates the positive outcomes achieved by advisers; notes that advisers are also supporting the new national advice phone line; and thanks the whole East Renfrewshire Citizens Advice team for their efforts on the public's behalf.
