UK fashion industry during the covid-19 outbreak

That this House commends the efforts of the British fashion industry; notes that Burberry have retooled their trench coat factory in Castleford, Yorkshire to manufacture non-surgical gowns, established a community fund, donated 150,000 pieces of personal protective equipment to the NHS and healthcare charities such as Marie Curie, donated to charities that enable the delivery of food parcels to young people and donated to the development of a single-dose vaccine by the University of Oxford; acknowledges the work of other UK brands such as Phoebe English, Birdsong, Bethany Williams and Holly Fulton; praises the aforementioned brands for their willingness to support the NHS and the most vulnerable during this unprecedented crisis; and thanks them for their efforts.
