Reopening of Beauty Salons

That this House recognises the important contribution of Harlow’s beauty and tanning salons, nail bars and spas to the health of our local economy; further recognises that these industries and small businesses have suffered enormous financial difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic, as they have remained closed in line with Government guidance; notes that the longer these businesses remained closed, the greater the impact on their ability to survive, on their livelihoods and the greater the risk of unemployment of their staff; and, therefore, urges for new Government guidance to be issued and urgent action taken to allow these businesses to reopen safely.
