Support for Snooker Clubs

That this House recognises the important contribution of Harlow’s snooker clubs to our local economy and social well-being; further recognises that snooker clubs have faced particularly difficult financial circumstances during the coronavirus pandemic, having remained closed in line with the Government’s social distancing guidance; strongly welcomes the Government’s new guidance permitting their opening; praises the staff who worked hard, and continue to do so, to ensure that snooker clubs in Harlow are able to safely reopen for members; and, therefore, calls on the Government to put on record its support for the contribution of JP’s Snooker and Pool Club, Burnt Mill Snooker and Social Club and Riley’s Sports Bar in Harlow to our community.
