East Lothian Campaign to support local businesses

That this House recognises the fantastic local campaign entitled Love Local Business, launched by the East Lothian Courier; notes that the campaign acknowledges that local businesses are the lifeblood of towns and villages throughout the county; recognises that East Lothian is home to many wonderful and excellent businesses from food suppliers to retail and that closing under the covid-19 lockdown has made things incredibly difficult for them; notes that many businesses in towns and villages need the support of valued customers now more than ever; further notes that many of the businesses, especially food suppliers, were crucial in supplying essential goods during the covid-19 lockdown period, proving themselves to be an important part in the community; and declares that it is now time for local people to repay that support, go to their local high streets and shop local.
