Ruchazie Community Council public transport campaign

That this House recognises the hard work and dedication of Ruchazie Community Council in its campaign for adequate public transport for the neighbourhood; understands that the cuts to services have a detrimental effect on the quality of the lives of the residents making travel to supermarkets and health services unaffordable; is concerned that the withdrawal of the number 32 bus and change in the route of the number 38 bus has effectively cut Ruchazie off from many local amenities; congratulates the Council on the quick organisation of a public survey to detail the effect of those changes on the local population and the constructive manner in which they have engaged with the local operator to offer solutions; and wishes them success in their campaign and assures them of the continued support of local representatives.
