Support from Strangford firms for Afghan refugees

That this House notes the generous offer by two Strangford firms Mash Direct and Willowbrook Foods to house and employ a number of Afghan refugees; further notes the fact that they have had difficulty filling these place with local workers and wish to be supportive in these awful times for those who are at risk due to their support for democracy and freedom in Afghanistan; highlights that there may be other firms who would be willing to help should the Government make clear a straightforward and accessible process for hiring and housing these needy people; and recognises that society stands against tyranny and oppression, and supports Afghan nationals who are suffering.
