Near net-zero status - Nairn Community Arts Centre

That this House congratulates Sam Morrison, Centre Manager, Bob Ferenth, Centre Director and the team at the Nairn Community Arts Centre on their near net-zero status; recognises the importance of setting this standard for businesses in the Highlands and becoming the greenest building in Nairn, notes that the Nairn Community Art Centre now generates 90 per cent of its annual electricity requirements; and further recognises that the support and advice from Zero Waste Scotland has helped the charity complete a five-year programme to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels in just two years.
