Peter O’Keefe Special Recognition Grassroots Award 2021

That this House congratulates Peter O’Keefe on receiving the McDonald’s Special Recognition Award at the Grassroots Awards 2021; understands Mr O’Keefe has operated restaurants across Glasgow for over 25 years; notes Mr O’Keefe has used his platform throughout his career to support local clubs such as Milngavie FC, host a number of community festivals, and deliver thousands of new strips and equipment to clubs who need it most; further notes Mr O’Keefe’s support for charities and his fundraising efforts over the years by running 13 marathons, completing multiple kilt walks, and organising a number of other fundraising events to raise thousands for charity; thanks Mr O’Keefe for all his efforts to give back to the community over the years and for using his platform to support those in need; and congratulates Mr O’Keefe once more on receiving this well deserved recognition award.
