The motion
That this House congratulates Bothwell Parish Church on receiving £10,000 from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; recognises Bothwell Parish Church as the oldest Collegiate Church in Scotland in which worship is still held; admires the history and artistry of the church, with a quire dating back to 1389, stained glass windows by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Gordon McWhirter Webster and Douglas Strachan, and housing the Bothwell Embroideries; understands this funding will be used to fund the purchase and installation of a new boiler; and commends the commitment to restoring and maintaining the church for continued use of the people of Bothwell
