Pen Farthing and Nowzad

That this House recognises the work of Paul ‘Pen’ Farthing who served in the Royal Marines for 22 years; notes that after leaving the Royal Marines Paul dedicated himself to the animal-rescue charity Nowzad in Kabul, which he founded in 2007; recognises that Nowzad has been transporting animals from Afghanistan to the UK for 14 years, including reuniting many armed services personnel with the animals they adopted while posted in the region; further acknowledges the mental health and emotional support benefits animals provide to our armed services personnel; and congratulates Pen on receiving the all-party Parliamentary group for advisory dog welfare's Unsung Hero Award.
