Cooperation with Indo-Pacific partners and focus on eliminating terrorism and extremism in the region

That this House raises concerns over the events unfolding in the Indo-Pacific region, which could have grave potential implications on global stability; remains concerned by the refusal by certain players to obey the rule-based international order, radicalisation of the civil society and constant use of terrorism as political tool; notes that those factors are pushing towards a real possibility of military conflict in that region, which could have devastating consequences for the planet; further notes with concern the events in Pakistan, the unchallenged rise of TLP and rise in intolerance towards minorities, atrocities on minorities in the name of blasphemy, cross-border terror attacks and killing of civilians and police officials in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan-based terror groups such as Lashkar e Taiba and Jaish e Mohammad; supports commitment to multi-dimensional cooperation with Indo Pacific powers like India, Australia and Japan; and urges the Government to engage with those countries and ensure that global stability.
